JAMB PERIODITY IS NOW THREE YEAR, SAID BY THE SENATE

I know this post will be useful for those that are willing to participate in next coming jamb 2017/2018, by introtroducing this kind of things(periodity of jamb for three years) will be a lot of benefit to some parent who are less priviledge, there are some student over there who scored a good mark in last jamb, but was not admitted to his school of choice, and because of this he need to re-write jamb, after wasting 5,500 naira, now that the periodity of jamb is now three year, the student with good mark will not need to re-write jamb again. On thursday the senate passed into law that which will guarantee the validity of any jamb offered by the JAMB  to any candidate for a period of three years, from the date of the conduct of UTME.

Also the senate finally put to rest the controversy trailing the conduct of the POST-UTME by the universities, thereby declaring it illegal and unconstitutional, just as the upper chambers said that with the decision, the question of who was in charge of admission has been answered. Deliberating  on the report by the senator, he pass a bill for an act  to amend the JAMB  act and other matter connected thereof, 2016(SB.245), the senators ammended  section (a) of a section 5 to read as follows.

5(B). The JAMB shall be the sole examination required for all admission and entry into all universities, polytechnich, college of education.

With the passage of the bill, it will now require the president to assent to the bill where it would then become a law and with the bill coming from the executive, president muhammed buhari may not delay in the signing of the bill into law.
